Dr. Johnston received her undergraduate degree in biology at Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon and her Doctorate of Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1992.

She completed her Family Practice Residency at Merced Community Medical Center which is affiliated with UC Davis in Merced, CA.

Dr Johnston is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
