Dr. Tushla received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1992 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. His internship and residency in Family Practice were completed at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Neonatal Life Support and Pediatric Life Support. Dr. Tushla is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Tushla, while in residence, was a member of the Arrowhead Community Hospital Task Force and the Residency Curriculum Committee.
