Dr. Hakansson was awarded his MD Degree from Lund Universitet in Lund, Sweden in 2001.

His internship and residency in Family Practice were completed at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, CA. At Colton, he served as Chief Resident and received awards for excellent service.  Dr. Hakansson completed his undergraduate studies at the Helsingborg School of Nursing in Helsingborg, Sweden. He is fluent in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish

Dr. Hakansson is Board certified by the American Board of Family Practice.
